What is ship launching airbag?

Marine air-bag, made of synthetic-tire-cord sheets and rubber sheets, was invented in Shandong province, China in early 1980s. It’s used to launch or haul out vessels as its first trying in marine industry. Comparing to traditional launching ways, like dry docks, mechanical slide way, ship launching airbag has the advantages in time saving, labor saving and cost saving. What is the construction of your airbag?

1. Outer Rubber layer

The outer rubber layer can protect the synthetic cord layers and inner rubber layer against abrasion from sharp objects and corrosion from sea water and bad weather condition. Also it helps to guarantee good air tightness.

The synthetic tyre cord layers is the reinforcement layers for airbag. The layer numbers depends on the working pressure and could be from 3 to 12layers according to customer’s demand.
